     From the Hungarian "sujtas" also known as "Russia," this wool double cord is applied to Civil War era dresses in handsome swirling patterns, and looks especilly smashing on a Garibaldi gown. Two rows of core threads are wrapped and braided together with fine wool yarn to impart a satiny look to this unpretentious embellishment.
